Re: Dawgs Run Wild Part Deux, 3/6/2010 @ Sanderson Field

Please note: The Van and its contents are already at the Shelton Site, so no one will need to drive the van down. I'll be picking up the key on Friday. Expect to see some updates tomorrow and some possible revisions to last practice layout. Volunteers for positions such as timing, registration, tech, etc. are needed. We have a course designer; please feel free to voice your worker assignment now. Remember, Chief positions serve as your worker assignment (but does not preclude you from giving an extra hand).

The weather looks improved for this weekend; hope to see you at this practice.

Also, we need someone to chair the March 21st practice.

    I can volunteer for tech.

I'll be there if the weather forecast stays good.  It's looking "Partly sunny, with a high near 56" at Sanderson right now according to NOAA:  http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lat=47.21397145824759&lon=-123.10043334960937&site=sew&smap=1&marine=0&unit=0&lg=en

Devin: Thanks, you and James can man the gate so that the moneys and paper work are out of the way. I think this will streamline buisness so we can concentrate on setting up our rides, tech, and chalk the course

James: thanks for volunteering for Tech; if we can get one more volunteer - we shoud be able to expedite things. Can you be present by 8am?

Jay and I can handle tech if thats easier with someone else doing registration...like I said, doens't matter what I do, it all needs to get done regardless.  I plan on being there at 8am, we can work things out on the fly once we're there.

Or, are people showing up early to set up the course????  In which case, I can be there early....

one word of caution - doing tech/registration/waivers/... usually counts as your AM set-up work assignment - we generally don't have enough ppl to run a practice unless everyone is working the course/timing/announcer/...  Plus, during set-up, everyone should be helping anyways.

in the past we've allowed the person who drives the BEAC van, Practice Focals, BBQ guy to not take a worker assignment...

    James-

Give me a call when you're ready to pick up the compressor. We can fill in the BEAC Borrow form with Doug Braun when we see him.
